As of January 1, 2011, under mandate by the State, the Guilderland Town Clerk’s office will be issuing dog licenses, dog renewal letters and delinquent notices.
When an owner comes in for a new license or a renewal, they will be issued a Town of Guilderland dog tag. The Agriculture and Market tag will no longer be valid after the license expiration date. That number will only be used as a reference number.
Dogs of at four months of age and older must be licensed. Current rabies certificate will be required and if the dog has been altered, that certificate will also be required.
Current fees as of January 1, 2012 are $10.00 for an altered dog, $20.00 for an unaltered dog and $5.00 for seniors (65 years of age and older) for an altered dog and $10.00 for seniors (65 years of age and older) for an unaltered dog.
This is a yearly license.
