Rain Garden Information Available for Homeowners
The Town of Guilderland Community Environment Department is partnering with Cornell Cooperative Extension to provide Guilderland homeowners with information on rain garden basics.  According to Cornell Cooperative Extension Community Educator, Sue Pezzolla, rain gardens are "a way to let nature help nature by collecting and filtering storm water run-off, thereby reducing erosion and pollution.  They aren't necessarily a solution to a wet area, but if you are looking for ways to be a better steward of your environment, consider planting a rain garden."  Information on rain gardens is available on the Town's Stormwater Management website page.
