NEWS FROM THE TOWN OF GUILDERLAND
Several youth groups recently performed community service in Guilderland’s parks. Boy Scout Troop 83, under Scoutmaster Dan Travers, did trail maintenance work on the new trail loop in the Community Gardens Area on April 19. Youth group members from the Altamont Reformed Church and from the Niskayuna Reformed Church, led by Eve Mayhew Guskie and Lynn Gilgore, helped prepare the Guilderland Community Gardens for spring. 
Boy Scout Troop 50, under Scoutmaster Larry Vincent, camped out in Tawasentha Park on April 25, and spent the following day working on the trail system in Tawasentha Park adjoining the new pedestrian bridge across the Normanskill that many residents were enjoying.
Many thanks to these young people and their adult leaders for the valuable community service that they provided to make Guilderland’s parks even more attractive for our Town residents.
