Unfinished Business

1) VanWormer Drive – Lt. Cox reported that he had additional telephone contacts on this matter. He learned that both Yahoo and Google maps have resolved the misdirection problem. MapQuest remains to be resolved.

2) East Lydius Street at East Old State Road – Traffic Study not yet complete due to inclement weather. Decision to be made at next TSC meeting. T/B/C

3) East Lydius at Lone Pine Road – TSC needs to check for stop line on Lone Pine Road. Lone Pine now has a stop ahead sign. Traffic Study is planned. T/B/C.

4) Arcadia Avenue - Mike reported via Lt. Cox that the “no-parking” signs were not installed at this location because residents who live there do not want them. TSC will ask Complainant to obtain signatures of residents of the street requesting such signs. T/B/C

New Business

1) Bostonian Drive at Empire Avenue – Request for two additional stop signs at this intersection which now has one stop sign. The TSC visited this intersection in October, 2004 and determined that no action was to be taken at that time. The intersection did not warrant additional stop signs. Individual on corner sees more traffic pass through this intersection. He also reports that cars drive around the barricade on Empire Blvd. The two individuals who appeared at the meeting agreed to take a copy of the Traffic Safety Postcard to the next homeowner’s association meeting to consider if the card should be mailed. TSC also decided to reach out to the Planning Board regarding any action taken or pending which might concern this intersection.  The TSC also agreed to do a traffic safety study to determine accident history, sight distances, traffic speed/volume, etc. Enforcement will also be increased. T/B/C

2) Pauline Avenue – Complainant who lives on the corner of Pauline Avenue and Seeley Drive (southeast corner) requests no-parking signs on the east side of Pauline Drive from Seeley Drive toward the Burger King restaurant. The Complainant stated that the west side of Pauline Avenue has “no-parking” signs. The Complainant reports that large trucks park in front of her house (on Pauline) so drivers can walk to Burger King. Matter tabled so that TSC members can visit the site and to permit input from absent members of the TSC. T/B/C

3) Cornell Avenue – A meeting between the neighbors of Mezza Notte and Town officials have agreed to install no-parking signs on Cornell. Lt. Cox will meet with the Town officials to determine the exact location for the no-parking signs. T/B/C

4) Spawn Road and Serf Lane – Complainant lives on Spawn Road directly opposite Serf Lane. This is a three-way intersection with complainant requesting two additional stop signs on Spawn Road which would result in an all-way stop. Mike will check to see if children-at-play signs are in place. Enforcement will be enhanced and Traffic Safety Post cards will be sent to residents of the immediate streets, namely, Serf, Spawn, Angelo Drive, Angelina Terrace and Serafini Drive. T/B/C
