On Tuesday, August 18th, at the Guilderland Town Board meeting, Karen Southwick, co-owner of Crossfit Aevitas, located in Charles Park, presented a check for $1,000 to the Town Board and Parks & Recreation Department. The proceeds were raised by the members of Crossfit Aevitas to assist with the rebuilding of the Tawasentha Park pool building, which was destroyed by fire in June. In addition, Albany Running Exchange Event Productions (AREEP) donated all day of race proceeds from Mud Mania 5 to the park for building improvements. The Town Parks & Recreation department is grateful to these organizations for their generous donations.
