Peter Barber, Town SupervisorDear Residents and Visitors:

I am happy to report that the Town is continuing to new normal operations.  Because COVID-19 remains a health crisis, the Town has developed a Moving Forward Plan which will be enforced by the Department of Emergency Medical Services.  The Plan will be updated consistent with the Governor’s Executive Orders, and State and County DOH guidance.

Throughout the pandemic, the Town invested in expanded online services and enhanced audiovisual capabilities to allow for more safe contact-less interactions.  In order to be in compliance with current COVID-19 requirements, Town buildings will have limited access to the public.  Your best method of obtaining Town services is still by mail, email or this website.

Because of COVID-19 guidelines, Town services and activities requires us to restrict public access to Town buildings by invitation or appointment only.  If you enter a Town building, you will be required to wear a face mask or cloth covering, and maintain a six-foot physical separation.  You will also be required to complete temperature and symptom checks required for contact tracing.  Hand sanitizer is readily available throughout the building for your convenience.  For more information on the new normal operations, please feel free to review the Town of Guilderland COVID-19 Moving Forward Plan.

Under these current conditions, your best method of obtaining Town services is by mail, email or this website where you can find useful information about your Town and accessing Town services, access agendas and minutes for Town Board, Planning Board, and Zoning Board of Appeals. The Town has partnered with Champ Data Systems to bring you livestreamed Town Board, Planning Board, ZBA and IDA meetings from any device as well as video on demand recordings and minutes of all Town Board, Planning Board and Zoning Board meetings by clicking here.

You can also access the Town’s GIS mapping of properties in the Town.  The property information includes the owner’s name, tax parcel number, assessed value, parcel dimensions and area, contour lines at 2 foot intervals, and zoning district, with a link to allowed uses.  You can use specialized web tools which provide base map layers of streets, municipal boundaries, and points of interest, and dynamic layers of parcel boundaries, zoning districts, flood zones, agricultural districts, and wetlands.  The GIS mapping also has interactive tools to measure distances, calculate area, and obtain longitude and latitude coordinates.

The Town has launched Hike Guilderland! which highlights the Town's wide-ranging and growing number of hiking and biking trails. The interactive maps also have layouts of multi-use trail maps in neighborhood plans and studies which recommend establishing non-motorized links among residential neighborhoods and with schools, library, YMCA, local businesses and points of interest.

The Town has partnered with Nixle to provide you with free community notifications via text or email about public safety events, emergencies, road closures and events of interest. The Town also provides information on the Town's Facebook and Twitter pages.

You can learn about upcoming events on the Town's Community Events Calendar. You may also request adding your event to the calendar. You are also invited to “Subscribe to News,” which provides information about board and committee agendas, events, and employment opportunities

You can also register for Parks and Recreation programs and events at the Town’s golf course, review your tax assessment, explore senior services programs and transportation services, make online payments for tax and water bills, access the Town’s code, and other resources. You can also click the link below for the latest Supervisor's Notes, a monthly update on Town happenings and events. We will regularly update this website so that your Town government is as efficient and transparent as possible.

You can also find helpful links to our local schools and libraries, and Federal, State, and County governments. In addition, residents can access Guilderland Police Accident Reports online.

We welcome any comments or suggestions that you may have about our website. Please feel free to contact us at 518-356-1980. We look forward to hearing from you.
