Parks, Trails & Open Space Project - UAlbany Graduate Planning Studio 2020

Project Overview

The Town of Guilderland and the University at Albany's Master of Regional Planning program have partnered to begin developing a comprehensive pathway project in the Town. The project will consist of an assessment of existing assets within the town, identification of potential local and regional connections, and exploring cooperative opportunities or partnerships with other trails and open space organizations.

The goal of the project is to advance the development of multi-use trails linking residential neighborhoods to community destinations, and explore options in acquiring open space and parklands. The UAlbany Planning Department's Graduate School is working with the Town to provide plans and recommendations for future trails and open space acquisitions.
