On Tuesday, September 5th, Guilderland Town Supervisor Peter G. Barber attended a ribbon cutting for the newly installed Tesla charging stations at Crossgates Mall. Also in attendance were Senator George Amedore, Assemblymember Patricia Fahy, Albany County Executive Dan McCoy and representatives from Tesla, Pyramid Management, Cole's Collision Center and Alliance for Clean Energy NY.
Crossgates Mall is now home to a 20-stall Supercharger station for Tesla vehicles. According to a press release from Tesla and Crossgates, it is the largest Supercharger for Tesla vehicles in the Northeast, "highlighting Tesla's commitment to growing New York's electric vehicle infrastructure and supporting local business development."
“The Town of Guilderland is thrilled to welcome a corporate leader in green energy to our community,” said Supervisor Barber. “This latest project complements the Town’s plans to create a transit oriented development district which will promote the growth of local businesses, restaurants, and entertainment venues.”
